Hey beautiful people!
My name is Byrdie McCoy. I am a proud mother to a goddess named Eneti and a little prince, Luamata. Most people would describe me as a fun-loving free spirit who is passionate about bringing people together. You can always find me laughing and motivating others or talking about the power of manifestation (my fave).
I was born in American Samoa and raised here in PDX. I have returned after 7 years of traveling for school and work and couldn't feel more excited to be home.
In 2010 I was diagnosed with PTSD after a horrific accident left me in critical condition. At the time my daughter was 8 months and I was a college student. This was a very dark time in my life and I struggled badly for a while (years). I dealt with a lot of shame and lack of understanding with all the changes I was experiencing. I remember feeling really trapped and alone.
It took me a while but the one thing that became the "light in the tunnel" for me was FITNESS. One day I committed to giving myself 15 minutes to "feel good" by walking or working out. Eventually I worked my way up to 30 minutes, then 45 to several times a week. This was truly life changing for me and it is what inspired me to become a health coach/blogger.
Understanding the correlation between physical and mental health is crucial to restoring overall health and now I have a new understanding of HOLISTIC FITNESS. It has become my mission to spread light on the importance of health and finding ways to help women everywhere get healthy; physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally.
Unconditional gratitude to all of you reading this and joining me on this incredible journey.
Love & Light,
